Aiming at human communications that transcend the constraints of space, time and body, ARTL is conducting research and developing technologies to effectively convey the sense of reality and deepen mutual understanding among people.
Advanced Reality Technology Laboratory is exploring the nature of reality that humans perceive from multisensory information. We conduct human behavioral and brain functional imaging studies, develop AI technologies to digitalize the physical world and understand people, objects and environments, and design XR (VR/AR/MR) interfaces to naturally convey reality to remote people via image, sound, touch and other sensory modalities. We also endeavor to deploy our research results in the society through industry-academia-government collaboration.
